Extension Projects

Regional Transportation Extension Projects

The Measure C Regional Program addresses county-wide transportation needs. It is split into urban and rural subprograms with priority projects on state highways and major city and county roads.

Today, seven urban and nine rural projects are finished. Nine others are in different stages of development. Approximately $391.5 million has been equally split between urban and rural projects.

Urban Area Projects Tier 1. Description in detail panel.
Image description

A map displaying the Measure “C” Short-Term Regional Transportation Program for Urban Area Tier 1 projects in Fresno County. The title “Urban Area Projects Tier 1” is prominently featured at the top. The map outlines planned transportation infrastructure improvements with color-coded symbols indicating the construction delivery year, ranging from prior to 2017 to beyond 2023/24. Key features include the Fresno and Clovis metropolitan areas, spheres of influence, incorporated areas, and major roadways. The legend provides details on project timelines and geographic classifications.

Rural Area Project Tier 1. Description in detail panel.
Image description

This image is a map titled “Rural Area Projects Tier 1,” displaying planned and completed street and highway projects under Measure “C” in Fresno County. The map is part of the Short-Term Regional Transportation Program and highlights Rural Area Tier 1 projects, color-coded by their construction delivery year.

The map covers various locations across Fresno County, including cities like Clovis, Fresno, Kerman, Selma, Kingsburg, and Huron. Major highways and roads are marked along with project locations designated by labeled circles.

A legend at the bottom indicates the project timeline:

  • Projects completed prior to 2017/18 (green)
  • 2017/18 projects (orange)
  • 2018/19 projects (red)
  • 2019/20 projects (blue)
  • 2020/21 projects (yellow)
  • 2021/22 projects (pink)
  • 2022/23 projects (purple)
  • 2023/24 projects (black)
  • Future projects beyond FY 2023/24 (white)

Additionally, a red dashed line in the northeast corner indicates that the Fresno County boundary extends further northeast beyond the visible map area. A compass in the lower left corner provides orientation, and a note states that the map is not to scale.
