Measure C Board Members

The Fresno County Transportation Authority Board oversees all parts of how Measure C is carried out. This includes approving how money is spent, making sure projects are built and managed correctly, helping to educate the public, and handling other services that keep everything running.

Board members serve for two years and meet six times a year.

The Board has nine members:

  • Two public members (one from a rural area and one from an urban area)
  • Two members from the Fresno County Board of Supervisors
  • Two members from the City of Fresno
  • One member from the City of Clovis
  • Two members from the other cities in the county (one from the Westside and one from the Eastside)

2007-2027 Board Selection Rules

Today, Board members serve two-year terms, and there are nine members total. They are selected as follows:

  • Two public members-at-large:
    • One rural member is appointed by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors and must live outside the city limits of Fresno and Clovis.
    • One urban member is appointed by the Fresno and Clovis City Councils and must live within Fresno or Clovis.
  • Two members from the Fresno County Board of Supervisors are chosen by the Board:
    • One must come from a rural district (District 1, 4, or 5).
    • One must come from an urban district (District 2 or 3).
  • Two members represent the City of Fresno:
    • One is the Mayor.
    • The other is chosen by the Fresno City Council.
  • One member representing the City of Clovis is appointed by the Clovis City Council.
  • Two members represent the other cities in the County:
    • One Westside member is chosen by a group of mayors from cities west of Highway 99.
    • One Eastside member is chosen by a group of mayors from cities east of Highway 99.
